Fresh Finds for Every Cart Stop

"Felt security guard was singling me out. Right when I got in he was actually following me in the store. I noticed he wasn't doing that to other customers then thought I missed items in my cart. In a way I can see he was doing his job to make sure, however I felt he should of asked the clerk to check. He actually wanted to look at my receipt and found out I did not miss any items. Felt a little hounded or singled out for some reason. Not sure why my clothes were clean casual wear. Not a friendly place to shop in my opinion. In fact ive never felt/had that experience in my life at a grocery store. For a security guard to feel a need to follow me in a grocery store. That has never ever happened ever!!"

"This place has a disgusting meat department. Not only are they selling out a premium above average in the area proving that they only care about profit and not about making sure the elderly community around them can afford the food that they stock if you go to their meat department it looks like they’ve been leaving stuff out for days in display It is all old. Their pricing is high. They packed their meat with nitrogen and recently I’ve discovered that they are dying some of the ground beef. Got a pack of ground beef today and it was red on the outside completely browned in the middle. I don’t buy meat from this place if I can help it"

"It is an upmarket grocery store located in Gold River, so it's a nice neighborhood. As a result, they have fresh shrimp and fresh lobster, extensive ready-made foods and a bakery. They also have one of the best selections of specialty cheeses I've ever seen in a grocery store! Prices are kind of high, but the service is friendly and excellent!"

"We have always been so proud of our Bel Air in Gold River for its selection of fresh produce, fresh dairy, fresh meat and fresh bakery. After Yesterday, I am questioning if I will ever go back for my weekly grocery shopping. I checked out about 11 am and two check stands had no customers. I checker and bagger were so engaged in talking negatively about another employee, they didn’t even acknowledge me. After what seemed to be minutes, I said, “Hi! I’m fine, how are you”? It was very “unBel Air” and very unprofessional. The bagger never said one single word to me the whole time. When I got home and was unpacking my groceries, I noticed there was no care in how my bags were bagged. Eggs on the bottom, bread close to the bottom. When shopping, I had to pick through the apples to find some with no bruises, bags of tangerines that didn’t have moldy ones, milk that was almost out of code, carton of eggs that didn’t have a broken one. When making a salad for dinner, I found the celery I had just bought was brown. I also bought an “on sale” “bird bell”. When I took it out of it’s package, it was broken and could not be hung. Yesterday, I was really angry and wondering if I wanted to go back. What’s happening? I could have gone to Smart and Final or Walmart or Winco, but I didn’t. Unless things change, I’ll will be shopping elsewhere. I’m not usually a complainer, but these things need to be addressed. We’ve always had great confidence in BelAir and Raleys, but yesterday really rocked my confidence. Thank you for your time. Kelley Stark"
